White contains an equal balance of all the colors of the spectrum, the meaning of the color white, an inherently positive color, is associated with purity, virginity, innocence, light, goodness, heaven, safety, brilliance, illumination, understanding, cleanliness, faith, beginnings, sterility, spirituality, possibility, humility, sincerity, protection, softness, and perfection. 

I have always felt a strong connection to the color white. White makes me feel at home. I wanted to find out just why it is that I’m so attached to this color. Those who favor white are often confident and self-sufficient with a positive, optimistic mindset. If you feel a connection to white, it may be due to the peace of mind it brings about. I always feel that my mind is buzzing nonstop, so I think that I subconsciously surround myself with as much white as I can in order to calm my soul. 

Le Diner en Blanc Founded in Paris back in 1988, now 70 cities worldwide now hold the culinary event. Dinner, which guests must prepare and bring themselves along with a foldable table, chairs, dinnerware, and cutlery. As the day approached, planning was crazy.  Tables had to be a certain measurement, I was stressing about place settings  and we had food to prepare.  I prepared myself and my hubby grilled  chicken, quinoa salad with various season  fruits  and avocado. 

There were traditions like the waving of your white cloth napkins to commence the dinner portion of the evening.  As well as the sparklers after everyone is done eating. Since we were on the water, we all got a gorgeous sunset to add to an already visually stunning event.  And, just like anything you over prepare for, the whole evening went by in a flash.

At Diner en Blanc I felt as though I’d been transported to some far off distant land. When I say it was like a fairy tale I mean it. Everything looks absolutely stunning, and being outdoors in the middle of the city is just blissfully fun. I Feel So Honored To Be Part of Such a Wonderful Organization.
