How to celebrate New Year’s Eve

Tonight I’m on my second cup of coffee while I am writing a new blog about New Year. Get a fresh start this coming year! For many people, typical New Year's Eve celebrations include watching the ball drop on TV, going to an overpriced event or counting down to midnight. Although this can be fun, it can also get tiresome year after year. If you find yourself celebrating New Year's Eve alone, it doesn't have to be a sad or pathetic occasion. Instead, embrace an evening without a date by enjoying some of your favorite pastimes or touch base with an old friend. Throw a New Year's Eve party for other singles. By gathering your closest friends who are in the same boat, you can forget that you don't have a date and simply enjoy the celebration. Call an old friend who is too far away to be with. Spend some time talking on the phone, watching New Year's Eve specials together, and reminisce on the year gone by and discuss what's ahead. Cook a great dinner and open a bottle of wine to celebrate. New Year's Eve is a romantic occasion for couples, a time to cherish their years together as well as plan their futures. Since the holiday marks the beginning of a new year, find a memorable way to get that future started. Put some thought into finding an unusual way to express your feelings to that important person in your life

Although 2012 is still in progress, it is not too early to look forward to 2013. At least we can plan ahead on how we are going to improve ourselves in the next year.
