There
is something so magical about Vancouver Fashion Week; colours, runways, shows,
models, outfits and most importantly being the best event of the year in Canada. I
love art, makeup, fashion, beauty, creativity… and I get very excited when it’s
time for Fashion Week! I dressed up my mini Leopard dress for VFW. Leopard
print is one of my favorite dress to wear. It's loud, fun and a bit
wild, just like me, haha!
Jamal Abdourahman, the dynamic founder of
Vancouver Fashion Week, is committed to fashion and innovation. Thanks to
Jamal bringing the fashion so close to us. VFW prides itself on promoting
undiscovered designers by providing an accessible and internationally reputable platform. I
find that Canadian designers create their work with a lot of pride and use very
high quality materials. Vancouver Fashion Week is a big
platform for designers to take inspiration from other countries fashions
and styles. This years event will showcase designers from 15 countries.
Shamsha
Hashwani's is my favourite designer this year. Her luxury contemporary women's wear brings
the lure of ornate artistry to a new generation. In her collections
each piece tells a story of rich culture and tradition. Thanks to Shashma
bringing VFW lots of different taste. Her collection is totally
floored me.
I've
had the great privilege to meet distinctive character within the fashion scene Diane Pernet. She is a fashion blogger and critic based in Paris. She has always been a pioneer and a legend of
exploring themes of fashion, beauty and style. We Vancouverites thank her
for being with us this evening.
