One Flight to China & Henan Graduate Fashion Week

After I received a phone call that I have been invited to Chian (Henan) Graduate fashion week; I was very excited. It was not because of  I was going to be the  part of this fashion week but also visiting China increased my excitement. China now is becoming my second  home. After long hours of flight finally I arrived to Zhengzhou airport. My translator welcomed me at the airport and we drove together watching the city on the way to my hotel. The city  itself was surrounded by a triple ring of wall. In the city white washed  street walls are charming and very typical of the region. When I walked through gates of the Cheered Hotel I found out that this is a very authentic hotel. 

Next day was the opening gala for  Chian (Henan) Graduate fashion week therefore I went to bed immediately after prepared my beautiful dress for gala. The dress that I wore  at the red carpet was designed by Joanne Ricci. She does not only crates dresses but she crates statement pieces for the modern woman. I woke up early in the morning and had my breakfast at the hotel. In general breakfast was fine but  I really have had a difficulty of finding a good coffee in China. Coffee Arabica is my favourite coffee bean type and I like Starbucks coffee. Around noonish  my translator picked me up from my hotel and drove me to a restaurant before the fashion gala starts. At the restaurant there was a VIP room set it up for us. The honorary  guest were Henan university fashion & art director, CCTV media announcer  and Henan university professor they were all welcomed me at the restaurant. I love in general Chinese cuisine. The food was delicious and we exchanged our views. After lunch, we all arrived the gala same time. I walked through red carpet with my beautiful dress. I was very happy to be an ambassador and sharing my views with the crowd. The runway shows at Henan  Graduate fashion week was beyond my expectations.  Each designer brought a different feeling to the runway with their unique collections.

Next day I met with the city Mayor and he was a real gentlemen. We exchanged our ideas and discuss possible opportunities. Interview was aligned  with  CCTV. They asked me questions about fashion and how fashion effects the economies all around the world. Then, I attended the 2019 Asia Europe International Forum. I was the honorary guest at the forum. I felt the excitement in the crowd and lots of fashion ideas swapped during  the forum. Lunch was always my favourite meal during the day and I ate a lunch with high ranking Chineese bureaucrats. Time has gone by so quickly and I am glad I made this trip happen.

My next stop was the school of fashion. With my translator we arrived  at the school and at the door student council greeted  me. Fashion & Art director escorted me during my campus tour together with my translator. At the fashion school the classes were well organised. We all walked in to a class and students were waiting and already they were excited meeting with me. Students presented me their all year work and in return I presented them an hour long lecture about appearance, behaviour and communication. There were many talented students in this group. This gave me a good hope about the future of fashion industry. We exchange our emails with the students. Meeting with lots of different new people and sharing with them my vision and mission was truly amazing. My trip to China  was very compact but overall it was true success for me. My overall goal from this trip  was to help spread the love and become a fashion ambassador between the two countries.
