Autumn/Winter 2017; Vancouver Fashion Week; Dress for the Life You Want

Vancouver Fashion Week is a fashion week in Vancouver, BC that is currently run by Jamal Abdourahman. Jamal has done and continues to do an impressive job of organizing and giving an audience to all the talent that grace the runway with their respective style and design. The event is seven days long per season  and held twice a year. Vancouver Fashion Week, the show that highlights the best of haute-couture trends and fashion from around the world. For the past few seasons, the event is held at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver. This year Autumn/Winter 2017 Vancouver Fashion Week held between the dates of March 20-26/2017@ Chinese Cultural Centre. From eco-friendly designs to avant-garde street wear and haute couture collections to contemporary leisurewear, Vancouver Fashion Week proved itself as the perfect platform for both established and emerging designers to debut their up-and-coming fall/winter collections.
This is an amazing show, and getting better every year!!  So much talented designers, locally and all over the world come to Vancouver Fashion Week.
Charne Esterhuizen is a 23-year-old fashion designer from Canberra, Australia. She began her own clothing label, MAAK. To develop her latest piece, she used 3D printing rather than fabric.

Rich colours, elegant silhouettes, delicate beading, and a touch of Disney describes Axulant Akoras new collection. This was my far most favourite dress.
Alex S. Yu's collection creates a line of contemporary luxury streets wear that is ready-to-wear with a twist of avant garde experimental attitude.I love the colours and vibes and  it is fun to wear.
Misi Afriques traditional patterns and powerful silhouettes flooded the runway.
Sara Armstrong's Fashion Week  pieces are a unique, shocking and cohesive blend of textures, patterns, and shapes.

I consider myself a true Vancouverite. Vancouver Fashion Week is not designed to emulate Paris or New York; it is something else entirely. Although participants come from all over the world, VFW is a platform that empowers Vancouverites. And that’s what makes Vancouver Fashion Week so, Vancouver and unique. Over the course of seven days and more than 100 runway shows, Vancouver became the center of the universe. I love fashion and I love Vancouver Fashion Week.

  1. Cesaretin var mı yasak olana
    Mesela ten tene mühürlendiğinde
    Deliler gibi sevişmeye
Takıla bilir misin umursamaz bir şekilde
    Ne güneşin doğuşu
    Nede çiğ taneleri karıştığında
    Toprağın o kokusuna
    Gök gürültüsünün içene
    Bir sır gibi gizlemeye
    Çığlıkları çığlıklarımızı
    Cesaretin var mı
Kendi ateşini bir demirci gibi harlayıp
    Yasak olan tende yanmaya
