A day in Amsterdam: The City of Bikes, Coffeeshops and Canals

Amsterdam is definitely in the top three of my favorite cities in the world. This city is filled with so much cultural diversity, and so much to do. Cycling is probably the most fun way to explore the city. Roughly there are 880,000 bikes in Amsterdam. Canals are the symbol of the city and have enormous cultural and historical value. No visit to Amsterdam is complete without having seen its beautiful, iconic canals

There is a remarkable building opposite Amsterdam’s Central Station; The Basilica of Saint Nicholas is located in the Old Centre district of Amsterdam. The church is 135 years old.

As you may know, Amsterdam coffee shops have little to do with coffee - it's where anyone over 18 can buy weed or hash and smoke it right there.

Manneken Pis (little pee man in Flemish) is the best Belgian fries in Amsterdam, I think this place is a really decent with their French-fries. Pease try the manneken sauce with cheese.

Amsterdam is a wonderful city, with so much to offer apart from the Red Light District, tulips, cheese and coffee shops. It is full of culture, cuisine, people and entertainment that are worth remembering your trip.
