I wanna talk to you about my recent visit to
Cyprus on mid October. Cyprus is a big Island in the
eastern Mediterranean Sea. After an hour flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen
Airtport, I arrived to Ercan Lefkose (Nicosia) Airport. My story begins right
at that moment.
Acapulco Holiday
Resort Hotel is located on a golden sandy beach with shallow crystal clear
waters at Girne (Kyrenia)
The food at Acapulco was
excellent with variety of choices open buffet. Breakfast is my favorite
meal of the day! Acapulco breakfast has lots fresh fruits and Halloumi. Halloumi
or Hellim is a traditional Cypriot Cheese made from a mixture of goat's
and sheep's .
From nightclubs
to casinos, from pubs to beach parties, there is everything here. The charm of
the city in Girne (Kyrenia) does not let the nights end.
Lefkose (Nicosia) is the last divided capital city in Europe. It is the capital of Cyprus, which
has been divided since 1974. Since then, Turkish Cypriots have been living in
the north and Greek Cypriots have been living in the south of the island. Crossing
the border in Lefkose (Nicosia) is a common activity for locals and only then you would
get the full experience of the city. However, you would need your ID card or
your passport to cross the border. On both sides of Lefkose (Nicosia), most of
the interesting activities and the best places to eat and drink are located in
the old city, also known as the Walled City.
Enjoy your traditional coffee in one of the many
cafes it may be named Cypriot, Greek or Turkish coffee depending on the place
you go!
Büyük Han is the largest Kervansaray
(caravanserai) on the island of Cyprus and is considered to be one of the
finest buildings on the island. Located in the capital of Cyprus, it was built
by the Ottomans in 1572, the year after they had seized Cyprus from the
Venetians.
